EARTH-FAULT MONITORING

An insulation fault / ground fault must be removed as soon as possible to prevent personal danger, fire, and malfunctions in the electrical system. Bender produces equipment to locate insulation faults both in IT systems and in systems with grounded zero point. To locate isolation errors in the IT system, the EDS system is used, while in the grounded networks the RCMS system is used.

INSULATION MONITORING
Insulation monitoring relays are the rock used in IT systems, ie network systems that are isolated from earth. They are used to monitor the insulation resistance between phases and soil. Insulation monitoring relays should be able to alarm for both symmetrical and asymmetric insulation faults. Equipment that only monitors voltage asymmetry is not to be considered as insulation monitoring relays.
