ELECTRIC INSTALLATIONS FOR SHIPS

FANS, EXPLOSION PROOF
Fan Heater Systems We have designed an easy system consisting of a control unit, thermostat, and a fan/heater unit. The system are delivered in Ex-design, requires a small amount of space, and are intentional made for cabins and containers. This solution are made in cooperation with GMC's Marine HVAC and insures the best and most efficient product for our customers. We are also installing the product after requests, and are cusom-making other systems as well.

FIRE ALARMS
In close co-operation with Svakstrøm AS are we delivering and installing fire alarm equipment for vessels in all sizes. We have epspertice in installation of new systems, and reparations and epxpansion of old systems. The systems are delivered in all sizes, with safe comunication, and with easy user interfaces. Access to spare parts for earlyer models are very good.

GENERATORS
GMC Elektro are doing trouble shooting / repair of generators, regulators and protection devices. Together with our joint venture partners we are one of the leading companies in total generatorservices in the area. Cleaning of generators will preferably be performed in the Workshop, but we are also doing this job onboard if required. We can align generatorshafts up to 5 tonns, and the general cleaning and drying is done in special workshops for the biggest generators. New generators with related systems? INJECTIONTESTING
We carry out injectiontesting of equipment in ranges up to 3000 amp. With high expertise and flexibility we deliver this service on board, offshore, or at our workshops. All testings are accomplished according to Veritas.

INSULATION MONITORING
Insulation monitoring We delivers and instal equipment for monitoring the insulation on critical equipment as firefighting pumps, stand-by generators, ballast pumps, thrusters, deck cranes, davit motors and so on. This solution are sensing loss of insulation in equipment not in use. The module are giving alarms after request when pre-set limits are reached. The module are small and do not require many instalation ours. It does usaually also fit in already existing panels and boxes. Heat Tracing surveillance Principle drawing GMC Elektro delivers and install complete systems for insulation surveilance of heat tracing offshore. This are resulting in full control over insulation degradation in teh installation. The advantage is that you can prevent unintended shut-downs, and critical situations occures more seldom. The cables are opreating in conditions with a large ammount of salt in the enviroment. this is degrading the insulation during time of operating. Regular routines of megging and inspecion is often not enough. This is why this continuous surveillanse have been developed.

INTERCOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
In co-operation with Svaktsrøm AS we delivers complete PA and Intercom systems on board vessels. Well known products and the best service is important. We have a wide range of products, and the expertice is very high. We have many manufactures within PA, and the interom products mostly used is Stentofon, Vingtor, og Stenhans. Access to spare parts for later and older models is very good.

Ex panels GMC Elektro has autorisation from NEMKO for building and repairing Ex equipment. We are designing and producing in a wide range individual boxes and panels and also bigger complete assemblies and systems. We have a well equippet workshop, also with nessesery calibrationtools, and fast deliverance on generally equipment. The correct qualifications and experience makes us capabel to deliver the best custom made solutions safely and effectively for each individual customer. We produce new panels and automationsystems at our electrical workshop.
