Electronic navigation maps

Olex can use vector maps in S57 and S63 formats, from official and commercial suppliers such as ChartWorld, Primar and the Norwegian Mapping Authority. S-57 is an international standard for navigation maps approved by IHO. S-63 is a standard for encrypting and securing electronic charts. Maps in this format consist of an encrypted map file and a permit file that allows the maps to be read in. The navigation maps can be used in combination with the self-measured bottom map. Various map information such as names, depth records, bottom types and lighting sectors can be switched on and off, as desired and needed.
