Our service department provides high-quality installation and service for all types of technical systems worldwide. We have service personnel with many years of experience both onshore and oﬀshore, ready to provide technical and optimal service at short notice. Elpro provides service and start-up for all technical installations, from newbuilding to rebuilding. Ranging from start-up of new electrical systems to finished, electrical systems with classification at a high level of quality. We can provide project managers for electrical installations to assist all types of electronic companies, yards or owners. We can also provide inspectors for all types of electrical installations and projects for yards
and owners.

We can offer rapid support and service by highly experienced service personnel performing commissioning and service for switchboards and all types of electrical systems. We also perform classification services for new and old switchboards and technical systems with DNV, ABS, LRS etc., ensuring that you have a safe and good quality system you can trust.

CONSOLES

Tailor-made marine consoles for safe and predictable operations. Extensive project track records for cruise ships, ferries, barges, rigs and the oﬀshore maritime ﬂeet. With more than 30 years of industrial knowledge, our reputation is built on decades of industry experience, problem solving skills, reliability and on-time delivery.
Elpro consoles are designed and manufactured in-house by our experienced staff. To ensure the highest standard of quality and flexibility, our enclosures of the consoles are cut, bended, powder coated and constructed at our Agdenes factory. This ensures high quality at a competitive price and delivery time.

Elpro offers engine room consoles, bridge consoles and all other marine consoles. We invite our customers to involve in specification and design of their tailor-made consoles, enabling unique customer designs and deliveries meeting the highest standards of modern marine consoles.

When Elpro is an independent supplier of consoles, the customer can choose to order only the chassis or buy consoles fully equipped, internally coupled and FAT-tested. We also provide installation of the consoles on board including commissioning and global service for our products after delivery.

Elpro provides a full range of electrical engineering services, such as electrical steel drawings, all kind of electrical work drawings and tailor-made solutions for our clients. We also take responsibility for the interface between different suppliers in the project and approval of the technical documentation and guarantee management.

We take care of the full range of electrical installations, from the drawing board to a finished, installed and tested system. We offer tailor-made solutions that meet the requirements of the individual shipowners and shipyard. We also take responsibility for the whole electro technical project including engineering, coordination between subcontractors, approval of the technical documentation, electrical installation, electro-steel mounting, testing, safety and guarantees. 

We have highly qualified personnel within the different disciplines such as engine systems, deck systems, accommodation, bridge systems, voice and warning systems, etc. We have experience for example from the world’s first four-engine LNG RoPax/Cruise ships, diving support ships, highly advanced construction vessels with ROV systems, AHTS ships and seismic ships with 3D-16 streamer.

SHORE CONNECTION AQUACULTURE

Changing the power supply at aquaculture farms from diesel electric generators to a shore connection supply provides considerable economic and environmental savings. 

No longer needing to run generators continuously on the farm will not only mean a huge reduction in diesel costs; maintenance costs will also be signiﬁcantly reduced as a result of the main power source no longer being a diesel electric generator. SOx and NOx emissions are also eliminated.
We can supply everything you need to switch your dieselpowered aquaculture farm to a more environmentally friendly and cost-efficient production site. Our solution includes transformers, switchboards, control stations, cables, working hours, installation, calculations, documentation, commissioning or a combination of these. We can change your system (refit) or fit out a completely new aquaculture farm from start to finish.

Another big advantage is the option of moving the monitoring and control stations from the platform to shore. Fibre-optic communications running in parallel with the power cables provide a stable connection. 

From the shore supply, we install a transformer (if required) and a state-of-the-art switchboard solution with all the required safeguards, monitoring, alarm system and synchronization (with emergency power if required). The monitoring station can be integrated as part of the switchboard or as a separate unit (console). From the switchboard, the power cable runs into the sea and to the aquaculture farm. A tension-release system allows the cable to follow the movements of the platform and the sea. On the platform, the cable is connected to a second switchboard/cabinet for distribution to all the different systems. This switchboard can also be integrated and combined with a UPS and/or emergency generator solution for optimal reliability.

Our solution allows savings of more than 60,000 litres of diesel per year for a typical aquaculture farm. (The estimated average power consumption for an aquaculture farm is 300,000–500,000 kWh a year; 500,000 kWh is equivalent to more than 60,000 litres of diesel.)

Elpro switchboards are engineered, designed and manufactured in-house by our experienced engineers and installers. To ensure the highest standard of quality and ﬂexibility, our enclosures of the switchboards are cut, bended, powder coated and constructed at our Agdenes factory. The bus bar copper is also bended in-house, to ensure high quality and ﬂexibility at a competitive price and delivery time.
