CARGO HEATING Aalborg MP-C Built with over 30 years of cargo heating experience, Aalborg MP-C (formerly VESTA MP-C) shell-and-tube heat exchangers are constructed in 100% stainless steel (AISI 316L) and are thus a perfect choice for heating oil, corrosive or edible cargo. Their heating surfaces are optimized through the use of specially designed baffl e plates, which results in a very compact, effi cient and cost-effective installation. Horizontal or vertical mounting is possible, and steam, thermal oil or hot water can be used as a heating medium. - Standard capacity range from 250 kW to 2000 kW (other capacities upon request) - Design pressures (shell/tube) up to 14/10 bar(G) - Construction in stainless steel (AISI 316L)

Teknotherm cargo refrigeration plants can be supplied for ships carrying food for human consumption and industrial solids or liquids.Refrigeration plants for full size reefers or partly refrigerated vessels carrying frozen or chilled goods are available as two different systems. Either as direct system with evaporation of the refrigerant directly in the aircoolers, or as indirect systems by means of circulating cold brine through the aircoolers. Teknotherm refrigeration plants for cooling of low boiling point liquids on board chemical tankers or product carriers are normally designed as indirect systems. The cargo is cooled by means of circulating a cold water/glycol mixture through cooling coils located in each cargo tank.

RSW systems - Ideal for pelagic (purse seining and mid-water trawling) - Enables preservation of large catches, by cooling the catch rapidly to a temperature that allows storage on board over time, without significant reduction in quality - Has enabled large quality of mackerel, horse mackerel and herring to be used for human consumption - Improves quality on fishmeal by better rawmaterial - Reduced quotas set higher standards - better product means better price Teknotherm RSW plants mean rapid chill-down and storage of the catch in Refrigerated Sea Water. Storing the catch in RSW is an effective and cost-saving method of preserving the catch until landing ashore or further processing on board. The catch is brought down close to the freezing point of seawater in a minimum time by Teknotherm`s highly efficient RSW-chillers of flooded shell & tube type.
