FIREFIGHTING SYSTEMS

FIREFIGHTING I SYSTEM One or two fire pumps installed in the engine room. Driven by the main engines with a step-up gear or using electric motors.

The pump(s) provides water for two fire monitors and an external water spray system installed for self protection.

Optional foam system can be included

FIREFIGHTING II AND III SYSTEM Minimum two fire pumps driven by the main engines with a step-up gear or using electric motors. Depending on class society two, three or four monitors are required for long range fire fighting. Optional external water spray system can be installed to obtain FiFi II+I class notification.

NON CLASSED FIREFIGHTING SYSTEMS External FiFi systems with capacity less than FiFi I have no formal classification. Fire pumps are driven by dedicated diesel engines. PTO gearboxes or electric motor. A minimum of 300 m3/h unit capacity is recommended to achieve efficient firefighting

FIREBOAT DEDICATED SYSTEMS Fireboat systems are tailor made systems which are developed in cooperation with fire departments and naval architects.
