Jotron GMDSS products and automatic identification system (AIS) The Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) is an international system which uses improved terrestrial and satellite technology and ship-board radio systems. It ensures rapid alerting of shore-based rescue and communications authorities in the event of an emergency. An EPIRB is used to alert search and rescue services in the event of an emergency. Jotron’s high quality EPIRBs conform to current international regulations and meet the demands of the commercial, marine, fishing, offshore and leisure industries. Jotron SART is designed for use in search and rescue operations and gives the exact location of the distressed indicated on the radar X-band display of any nearby ships, SAR vessels and aircrafts. Jotron AIS- SART are programmed from the manufacturer with a unique ID code an transmit its position via an internal GPS antenna. This data is combined and transmitted using the international AIS channels (AIS A and AIS B) in the maritime VHF band. Jotron’s GMDSS and Maritime VHF Radio meets all the requirements of the IMO for carriage on SOLAS vessels. This floating radio is the perfect choice, both in emergency situations and in general on-board communications. The radio switches automatically between standard simplex and duplex maritime channels, and 21 emergency simplex channels depending on which battery – emergency or chargeable – is connected. Jotron have since 2004 produced Automatic Identification System (AIS). AIS is a broadcast communication system operating in the VHF maritime band, capable of sending ship information to other ships and to shore.

Kaijo KDG-300 The KDG-300 current indicator is a well proven product with a reputation of ease of use and very reliable long term stability. The KDG-300 comes pre- calibrated from the Kaijo factory, so there is no need for cumbersome post- installation calibration at sea. It measures currents through four separate axis, and you can read from three layers of your own choosing. This Doppler log has an accuracy of 1% or better, and can measure speed over bottom in debts above 400m.

Kaijo KSE-100 The KSE-100 is a fish sizing echo sounder which we have sold to most of the large trawlers in the domestic market. This powerful sounder transmits in 15 separate beams; this translates into market leading accuracy in fish size estimation as well as a very high level of detail in the screen image. The KSE-100 are usually sold with the 38KHz split-beam transducer which gives the user long range without sacrificing too much on discrimination.

These are some of the reasons why we have sold over 80 KCH-3180 in Europe. Kaijo KCS-3220Z This is Kaijo’s most powerful low frequency sonar. The KCS-3220 was constructed to meet the demands of discerning professionals and larger fishing vessels. Transmitting frequency 20 KHz and extremely long detection range due to patented transmission method and RDT mode. KCS-3220 is class leading when it comes to reliability and detection range. Kaijo KCS-3881 This is Kaijo’s medium frequency sonar, which is suitable for all types of fishery. You can have it delivered with either an 88KHz or 92KHz transducer depending on your preferences. These frequencies are similar to what you will find in our competitors high frequency sonars. This sonar will give you good detection range with fairly high resolution. Kaijo KCS-3000 The KSC-3000 is a more affordable and more compact model compared to for instance the KCS-3220Z. It can come delivered with either 24KHz or 28KHz transducer. Kaijo KCS-3500 The KSC-3500 is a more affordable and more compact model compared to for instance the KCS-3881. It can come delivered with either 43KHz or 50KHz transducer.

Vissim Oil Spill Detection Module is a fully automated, real time detection software which processes data from raw radar images. Most of the technology available for detection of oil on water is suffering from false detections. This means a lot of load is put on the operator. Vissim’s technology includes advanced algorithms for false targets negligance. The detection capability is further improved when integrated to Vissim Vessel Traffic Management Application. The module records all data and play back of incidents are initiated on events for oil spill analytics. WAVE HEIGHT DETECTION
Routine sea state measurement using moored wave buoys can be costly. These devices are subject to damage and loss and multiples of these devices may be required in order to provide a view of a wider area. Vissim Wave Height Detection provides real-time sea state information by using effective and highly advanced algorithms analyzing radar video. It uses multiple virtual wave buoys as measurement points to provide a complete sea state picture.
