Kyma Diesel Analyzer (KDA) is a computer-based system for continuously monitoring of cylinder and fuel injection system performance on diesel engines. The information can be used for tuning of cylinders, ignition timing, checking of cylinder overload, trending, checking of cylinder wear as well as maintenance planning. The system can be installed on new buildings and on ships in operation to help with continuously monitoring the systems. Measurements can be done on main engine and auxiliary engines. All measurements are done with a small hand-held unit and the information is automatically transferred to the KDA software. The necessary hardware consists of a portable data logger, electrical junction boxes, sensors and shutoff valves to collect performance data from the diesel engines. MONITEX BT - torque sensors The MONITEX BT torque sensor is a torque measuring coupling hub for measuring torque and speed.

MONITEX BT is a ROTEX coupling hub with an integrated measuring system for measuring torque and speed. Due to its compact design the system is able to replace a standard ROTEX hub in many cases while it is easy to assemble.

The inductive energy supply is achieved by an inductive head installed radially to the coupling in a distance of 10 mm at the maximum. Once the system is switchen on, the measured data of torque and speed are sent by MONITEX BT via Bluetooth and can be received via the free MONITEX-BT app by a smartphone, a tablet or a computer.

- Thin-film sensor technology Wing Union Pressure Transmitter The Wing Union Pressure Transmitter in an extremely rugged sensor designed for use with the two-inch wing union in the rough and demanding environment of high-pressure applications for both the on- and offshroe industry. The transmitter includes a diaphragm with a thin film single bridge Strain Gauge and a PT-1000 temperature sensor, electro beam welded to a sensor bed. The sensing diaphragm design eliminate zero shift during hammer-up and eliminates long-term signal drift in the field. The electronic circuits are calibrated and temperature compensated in digital mode with an analogue 4- 20mA output signal. The transmitter is designed to withstand vibration and shock as well as pressure peaks during operation. The union compatible fittings are machined of Hastelloy C22 & Inconel X-750 providing service with highly abrasive and corrosive media. Both configuration comply with international accepted standards for materials operating in corrosive environments. Scanmatic uses its cutting-edge expertise in underwater instrumentation, data collection, communication and system integration in the deliveries of systems for monitoring anchor lines and other underwater infrastructure.

Scanmatic's involvement in this field started with a challenge from one of our customers to develop a more robust inclinometer solution than was available on the market. An inclinometer is mounted on the anchor line to measure its angle and detect a line break. Especially the cables that cross the moving area between the FPSO / load buoy and the inclinometer were exposed to a lot of wear and damage. Scanmatic developed a new system with integrated cable protection that significantly reduces the likelihood of cable failure.

In addition to sensors for monitoring loads and angles, a delivery of a Scanmatic anchorage monitoring system includes subsea cables, cable protection, solutions for routing cables through e.g. pipes using special flanges, subsea connectors that can be replaced by divers or ROVs, junction boxes and data collection cabinets, signal conversion and data integration solutions and topside presentation and alarm handling solutions.

Scanmatic has also developed a solution for detecting line breaks that do not require a cable over the dynamic range, but which use proximity sensors to read a code plate mounted on the anchor line to determine its angle. Scanmatic's latest solution has received a lot of attention. It uses small sensors that measure angle, depth or motion, and transmits this information wirelessly using hydroacoustics (sound in water). The solution is very cost-effective compared to existing wireless solutions and can be retrofitted to existing installations in simpler ways.
