SET VALVES
AIR CONTROL SET VALVES AVS offers several types of air-controlled seat valves. The valves are available eg. in series 26, 63, 78 and 79 and all are controlled with external pressure from the air compressor. These can be supplied with 2/2-way and 3/2-way function. The valve type is often used in processing plants, where media are difficult, or where environments indicate that electrically operated valves are not suitable. VALVES
This is the valve that is the most commonly used on ships. It comes with three different connection possibillities, flanged, threaded and with a weld but. It is a valve for on deck mounting. The valve is to be mounted with the vent opening (a), at least 760 mm above deck level for safety reasons(class requirement). This valve is used to ventilate all tanks onboard ships; ballast tanks, fresh water tanks, lub oil tanks and fuel tanks, however it is not used to ventilate cargo tanks on oil or chemical tankers (These use PV valves. According to the international loadline convention from 1966, all tanks aboard ships are to be protected from seawater penetration by replacing the, until then much used, goosenecks with a vent check valve. This makes the valve a product that is used on all ships.

Leakage of gases and liquids should be prevented at all costs. SOMA's ball valve is made to handle this and is designed for shutdown of liquids and gases. Our ball valve is a full-flanged valve with cylindrical passage in the dimension range DN25 - DN500.
BUTTERFLY VALVES
The SOMA butterfly valve will help you regulate your flow, whether it be steam, gas, water or other liquids. The valves are made of stainless steel with a homogeneous metal seat. Installation is done via clamping between flanges both with and without lugs.
CHECK VALVES
Liquid, steam or gas - SOMAS damper back valve fits all three. The valve is developed and adapted for clamping between flanges. The damper check valve is of two types, with or without spring, and is made of stainless steel to meet the process requirements set.
CONTROL VALVES
Control valves have a central position in SOMAS valve program and can be used in many areas and industries. Several of SOMAS valves are used as control valves, where the calotte valve is one of them. Thanks to its design, with a single piece caliper and spindle, the calotte valve has the optimum control properties. The butterfly valve is also an excellent control valve. The ball valve has a characteristic that is less suitable for regulation, but since the other advantages of the ball valve (valve seats in both directions and low resistance at full opening) are important, it can very well be used as a control valve.
